10 on 10 | May Edition | Pace Family Photographer

Hello!!!  I am here this 10th day of May to participate in my very first 10 on 10!  On the 10th day of each month, I will share with you 10 things from a 24 hour period in my everyday life.  Since this is my first time, I would safely bet there will be a few quirks for me to work out.  While I love true lifestyle photography, I feel like it is extremely difficult to shoot – especially while keeping a professional quality maintained.  Do I think these images succeed at that?  Not a chance – but I hope you will understand that these are truly snapshots of my day and I am excited to share them with you.  So… without any further rambling out of yours truly… my 10 on 10.

Big man had a field trip yesterday and I was fortunate enough to go with him.  On the way out to the car, I remarked how gorgeous the light was and he surprised me by suggesting I take his picture.  You can safely bet I whipped out my camera with visions of light bursting sparkly eyes dancing through my head.  He had a different idea…  I love it every bit as much.

We learned all about the inner workings of a post office and received a grocery bag to fill with food and put back in our mailbox so that the post office could distribute food to the hungry.  Big man raided our fridge that night – clearing us out of family favorites to the little man’s dismay, but you can’t fault the big man for having a big heart!

Sometimes things get out of control when you play Imaginext.  You just might have to use a stretcher and an ambulance.  I’m happy to report everyone survived thanks to the excellent care of the little man.

Little man was playing so nicely that I snuck out to edit a recent session for a bit.  No session editing is complete without a little Pandora.

While I edited, big man perused lego.com, picking out his must-haves.  The list was long.  My answer was “not today.”

Perhaps my favorite picture of the day – big man doing his homework.

Big man had a big birthday this week – the same night as a t-ball game.  Not every present was able to be opened before bedtime so he had some overflow to finish up last night.

Our dinner felt like “smiling.”  I began to tell the boys not to play with their food…

… but they gave me this face and I couldn’t help but smile.  I’m smitten with ‘em, I tell ya!

Thank you many times over for hanging out on my first 10 on 10!  I’ll be seeing you in June with more snippets from my day, but in the meantime you should head over to Marisa Reda and view the little moments from her day!
